Fredricksburg Day Trip
Head west on 290 for about an hour and you will land in the sister city of Montabaur, Germany. A city fully stocked with antiquities, Fredricksburg is a place for a good microbrew or micro vineyard. Window-shopping is a sweet stroll down Main with side streets cradling more amenities for your sensory pleasure.
The shops close at 5pm or so as the natives like to partake in their own local liquid fare.
Hanging on Lincoln is off the beaten path here. You’re welcomed and inquired of and it’s obvious that folks want you to sleepover or at least assume you’re gonna. Everyone asks if you’re here overnight wanting to suggest a spot while you’re here.
Overall, this is a great spot to slow down, unwind and relax with some folks that are floating in the slow lane of the river. Cheers!
